Benjys
Benjys was a chain that went out of business in 2007. This branch was at 38 Beak Street , London , W1F 9RG.
I used to enjoy a visit to Benjys, since it seemed to me a place that had a good variety of sandwiches and the other items, and was always reasonably priced. It was always a little less slick that the other chains, and hence had a certain charm. Gordo 08:59, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
The History
Benjys was a franchise. It started in Islington in 1989 (run by the Benjamin family). Benjys underwent a management buy out led by Ian Rickwood in 2000. It used to have 60 outlets in London and the South East.
It went into administration in July 2006 and February 2007.
